Bambarakanda is a slender, high cascade in the hills above Kalupahana. Sri Lanka Tourism records its height as 263 metres. The surrounding pine slopes and the long vertical drop make this a distinctive stop on a hill-country journey.

Approach from Kalupahana on the Colombo–Badulla road and confirm the final road and footpath locally. Choose an established viewpoint; paths and rocks become slippery in rain. Allow time for the return uphill and keep clear of the plunge pool.
