Bomburu Ella spreads over a broad rock face in the Uva Paranagama area. Also known as Perawella Falls, it is reached on foot through a lush hill-country setting rather than directly from a roadside viewpoint.
Planning your visit
Ask locally about the current trailhead, parking and entrance arrangements. Expect muddy stretches and slippery rocks after rain. Uva Paranagama Pradeshiya Sabha states that camping is prohibited in the area. Use established paths, carry litter out and do not assume the pools are safe for swimming.
