Ask permission before taking close photographs of people or entering a private space. Agree any hosted visit in advance, including timing, payment and what participation is welcome.
At markets and workshops
Keep clear of people working and ask before handling equipment or products. If you plan to buy an item, agree the price and what is included before paying.
Respect the setting
Leave natural and archaeological objects where they are. Keep noise and waste under control, and follow the directions of guides, site staff and conservation officers.
